Key concept
Heatmaps are an aggregate over sessions, not individual tracking. Visz never follows a single person around your site; it sums interactions across visits and renders the result on top of the page.
- Click heatmaps show where attention and intent concentrate — what people actually click, including non-interactive elements they expect to be clickable.
- Scroll heatmaps show the scroll-depth distribution: how far down the page visitors typically get, and where they drop off.
- Move / hover heatmaps use mouse movement as an attention proxy. They are desktop-only and throttled, since touch devices have no hover.
Because heatmaps are aggregated, they get more meaningful as more sessions arrive. Use the filter bar to build a heatmap for a single device class, traffic source, or segment.
