Recordings — the list of replayable sessions, filterable by device, source, and behavior. Click any row to open the player.
Key concept
Recordings are captured with rrweb, which records the DOM and user interactions rather than a video stream, so replays are lightweight and text stays crisp. Three guarantees define how recordings behave:
- Consent-gated — nothing is recorded before the visitor consents. Before consent there are zero events, recordings, or fingerprints, and “Do Not Track” overrides everything.
- PII masked — passwords, credit-card fields, and other sensitive inputs are masked client-side before anything leaves the browser. You see the interaction, never the secret.
- Aggregated context — each replay sits next to the session’s filters and frustration signals, so you can jump from “what happened” to “why it mattered.”
A recording is one visit. Use the timeline to skip idle time, and the speed controls to scan quickly. Recordings respect your retention window and can be deleted per session.
